Description

Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is a novel redox cofactor found in small amounts in plant foods that activates CREB and PGC-1alpha, transcription factors that stimulate the growth of new mitochondria in a process known as mitochondrial biogenesis. This makes PQQ unique among supplements in its ability to actually increase the number of mitochondria in cells, not just support their function.
