Description
DIM is formed when indole-3-carbinol — found in broccoli, kale, and other cruciferous vegetables — is broken down by stomach acid, and it works by favoring the 2-hydroxyestrone metabolic pathway over the more proliferative 16-hydroxyestrone pathway in estrogen breakdown. This has made it popular in both men's and women's hormonal-support stacks: men often use it to support healthy estrogen-to-testosterone ratios, while women use it around hormonal acne, PMS, or estrogen-dominant symptom patterns.
