Description

DIM is formed when indole-3-carbinol — found in broccoli, kale, and other cruciferous vegetables — is broken down by stomach acid, and it works by favoring the 2-hydroxyestrone metabolic pathway over the more proliferative 16-hydroxyestrone pathway in estrogen breakdown.
