Description
Mechano growth factor is a naturally occurring variant of IGF-1 produced by muscle tissue in response to mechanical loading, which is to say in response to exercise. It appears to help activate satellite cells, the reserve cells that contribute to muscle repair and growth. That is real physiology and it is a legitimate area of muscle research. The leap made in marketing is the familiar one: observing that your body produces a molecule when you train is not evidence that injecting it produces the same result. No human trial has administered it. It has never been developed as a medicine, and it is prohibited in tested sport.
