Description
Mazdutide is a dual agonist acting on glucagon and GLP-1 receptors, originally an Eli Lilly molecule licensed to the Chinese company Innovent Biologics specifically for the Chinese market. It has a substantial and genuine trial record: its main obesity trial enrolled six hundred and ten Chinese adults over forty eight weeks, and a second trial of four hundred and sixty two people followed participants for sixty weeks. Both reported positive results and it received approval from China's regulator in 2025. It is not approved in the US, UK, EU or Australia. It is a real approved drug in one large market and an unapproved investigational compound everywhere else, which is a distinction the grey market tends to lose.
