Description
Kisspeptin is a hormone that sits near the top of the reproductive control system, acting on the hypothalamus to trigger the cascade that ultimately produces sex hormones. Kisspeptin-10 is a short active fragment of it, and it has been used mainly as a research tool in human reproductive physiology, notably by the group at Imperial College London. That work is legitimate academic science exploring fertility, puberty and sexual response. It has not become an approved treatment, and no completed randomised controlled trial establishes it as one. Selling a research probe used to map a hormonal pathway as a fertility or libido treatment gets ahead of what the research was ever designed to show.
